Organizational transformation of Misiones’ agrarian cooperatives: strategies for intervene in markets

   In order to access and operate within the capitalist markets, cooperative associations -which are simultaneously cooperative and competitive societies- were forced to undergo major structural transformations to meet conditions of competence and quality, thus bringing about a strong impact in their institutional goals as well as in their organizational practices.

   This research displays and reflects on the productive profile of agrarian cooperatives in Misiones (Argentina) based on information provided by the 2012 Agrarian Cooperatives Provincial Survey; it also retrieves the experience of some of them performing in different markets, and analyzes the developed strategies as well as the institutional effects on their organization.
