The Beautiful Sex and Libertarian reason in Venezuelan Emancipation. Towards a Historical-Social Gender Perspective in the XIX century

In this essay we propose to review the issue of women's participation and/or their presence in the history of emancipation (1800-1821), whose consensus determines their invisibility as a historical subject. In such a way that a good part of the studies on the participation of women in the different social, economic, political or cultural structures are given by the imprint of a Western world system, marked by religious, scientific and colonial patriarchal anathemas. Hence, even in our contemporaneity, it is still urgent to dismantle macho and excluding structures, when it comes to Venezuelan women.
