Mecanismos de seguridad, dispositivos de poder y relaciones internacionales

Este artículo se propone revisar los enfoques preponderantes de Seguridad Internacional en las Relaciones Internacionales recuperando los aportes de Michel Foucault en torno al poder y sus dispositivos: la lógica gubernamental de la soberanía y la Razón de Estado; el neoliberalismo y los mecanismos de seguridad requeridos para el control de las poblaciones y las sociedades civiles, desde la biopolítica. El objetivo es profundizar y cuestionar los enfoques tradicionales, introduciendo herramientas de análisis que den cuenta de determinados mecanismos y tecnologías de poder ocultos en los discursos y “verdades” del sabe  internacional. En Argentina las referencias a Foucault en los estudios internacionales es prácticamente nula, de allí la relevancia de introducir categorías foucaultianas para repensar la Seguridad.

Security mechanism, dispositif of power and international relations

The purpose of this article is to review the preponderant approaches of international Security in the International Relations recovering Michel Foucault’s contributions concerning the power and his devices: the governmental logic of the sovereignty and the Reason of State; the neoliberalism and the security mechanisms needed for the control of the populations and the civil societies from biopolics. The aim is to deepen and challenge the traditional approaches introducing tools of analyses that realize of certain mechanisms and technologies of power hidden in the speeches and “truths” of international knowledge. In Argentina, references to Foucault in the international studies is negligible, hence the importance of introducing Foucault’s categories to rethink security.
